Once upon a time in Sydney, I found Mexico in a bar.....

Save yourself an airfare – you can find the fun and flavour of a fiesta right here in the heart of Sydney at 'Tio's Cerveceria'. You can't miss the green glow of its neon sign calling you to step inside, where you instantly fall in love with the taco stand inspired bar, religious kitsch and over the top knick-knacks, including chilli shaped fairy lights that cast a red and alluring glow all over this Mexican haven.

The cocktail list screams tequila, tequila, tequila for die hard fans and the uninitiated. Prepare to be wowed by the amazing choices of  infused mixes. The bartenders are flexible and happy to create something special just for you. At only $10 a pop, I personally recommend 'El Roberto Especial' made with fresh apple juice, lime, cucumber and tequila, or if you're feeling more flighty you can't go wrong with the Paloma tequila, grapefruit, soda and lime. On the other hand if you want a drink that'll put hair on your chest get their Jalapeno Margharita ….. smoking!  I take no responsibility for the consequences.

With over ninety different Agave Tequilas on offer, as well as a varied selection of Mexican and South American beers, including the delicious Rio Bravo, you're sure to find something to put you in the mood for a fun night.

If all this isn't enough there's also complimentary chilli popcorn. Yum!

So grab your sombrero and I'll see you across the border.

Rebueno! Vamos a la pachanga!
